Unique Christmas Gift Ideas For Business Owners

December 5, 2008

Coming up with unique christmas gift ideas can be a struggle for small business owners. Finding the time for christmas shopping is a nightmare, when you’re trying to run a small business, never mind trying to find a unique christmas gift.

It’s far easier to do it online and to make life a bit easier. And I’ve found some unique christmas ideas for business owners. Whether you’re a business owner yourself, or you’re buying a gift for a business owner, you should find a unique christmas gift here.

A Unique Christmas Gift Which Will Help Children Around The World

If you buy your Christmas gifts from Unicef, you’ll be helping children around the world. They sell gifts for adults and children and they also have a great range of fair trade items. And if you’re buying for someone who really doesn’t need more “stuff”, their unique inspired gift range is brilliant. You can buy a gift on behalf of the recipient, which helps children all over the world.

Unicef have a huge range of Inspired Gifts, including a tonne of porridge, a goat, a water pump and medicines for children with HIV.

A Self Improvement Book Which Actually Works

For folk who like reading self improvement books, get them one that actually works. Some self improvement books do little to improve people’s lives at all. But The Power of Now: A Guide to Spiritual Enlightenment really can make a massive difference to the lives of those who read it.

A Unique Pen Would Make A Great Christmas Gift

If you’re buying a gift for someone who writes, a unique pen would really be appreciated. If you’re writing a lot, it’s usually a whole heap easier to write with a pen that has a thick barrel.

A Unique Christmas Gift For Folk Who Want To Start A Business

For gift recipients who want to start a business but still haven’t managed to come up with an idea, you’d be doing them a huge favour if you enrol them in Tom Volkar’s Authentic Business Discovery Group. It’s a unique christmas gift and Tom is an excellent life coach to small business owners.

A Gift Certificate To Sponsor A Business Owner In A Developing Country

And if you’re buying a christmas gift for someone who already owns a business, a Kiva gift certificate, would make a unique christmas gift.

Kiva enables you to sponsor specific business owners, to help them grow their business. And a loan of as little as $25 can go a long way towards helping these people.

Do you struggle to come up with unique christmas gift ideas? Or do you have any unique christmas gift ideas you’d like to share in the comments section?

I find its easiest to buy for myself (ha, ha)

I like the the Unicef idea a lot. I probably would’ve looked into that or Kiva if I hadn’t already purchased gift cards from my daughter’s school fundraiser through EVERYTRIBE. EVERYTRIBE’S vision is to “Establish sustainable businesses in developing nations and market those products online, to raise funds for worthy causes while creating economy around the world.” Seems like a win-win to me.

For me, who has to mail packages to Canada and overseas, giftcards are ideal because they can be slipped into a Christmas card, whereas if I’m not careful, sometimes the postage to mail gifts can cost more than the gifts themselves did.

Hi Cath. The Power of Now is an awesome book. I read it years ago. I saw Eckhart Tolle in person here in Vancouver at a show he did. Sitting there listening to him talk for 2 hours was quite an experience.

I do struggle to come up with ideas for gifts. Some people are very hard to buy for because they are picky about brand names and very vague when I ask them for ideas. In that sense gift cards are great. However, still I enjoy the pursuit and discovery of that perfect gift!

Hi Jannie – Unicef Inspired Gifts and Kiva are both brilliant ideas. I hadn’t heard of Everytribe – but I’ll definitely be checking it out.

Hi Davina – A New Earth is awesome too. You lucky thing getting to see Eckhart Tolle. He’s a really smart guy.

Hi Brad – you’re welcome. It’s easy to struggle to find anything, then wind up buying a heap of worthless crap that nobody really needs.

Hi Vered – I like the idea too – a lot of folk have enough junk and clutter in their lives without adding to it. A donation in their name is far more meaningful.

Hi Kathy – Kiva is an awesome concept. I like the way they actually introduce the people you’re investing in and tell you about their business and what they need the money for.

Hi Evelyn – Tom’s course is unique. I think it’s a brilliant way for folk to discover what business would be right for them.

Hi Catherine – I really like “The Power Of Now”. It’s eye opening and would make a good gift for almost anyone.

Helping those in need is the best way to celebrate the Christmas holiday. It brings out the true meaning of the holiday.

Hi Barbara – I finally read A New Earth too. I know we were going to read it ages ago and follow the Oprah video but we were too busy. Did you manage to get it yet? It’s brilliant.

Well, Cath. My friends and clients always said that I’m a little bit old-fashioned, as I mostly give either notepads or pens as the X’mas gifts…:P
