Could Guided Meditation Change Your World?
January 20, 2009
A few months ago, I stumbled upon guided meditation and it’s done a whole heap to help me so far. Guided meditation is a form of meditation, where you’re led on a particular journey, by a professional guided meditation expert, or a CD, or download compiled by someone skilled in guided meditation.
How Can Guided Meditation Help You?
There are many different guided meditations available. Some can help you quit bad habits such as smoking, drinking or over-eating. And others can improve your health, motivation, concentration, or confidence.
Why Use Guided Meditation Instead of Regular Meditation?
Meditation takes a long time to master. I used to meditate alone every day but work pressures became too much and I found I just didn’t have time. So guided meditation offers a shortcut to those of us who don’t have hours on end to meditate alone.
Where Do You Get Started With Guided Meditation?
I’ve tried out a few different guided meditation CD’s and I’ve had some great results. My favourite so far is a free trial guided meditation from the Silva Life System. I read about it on Marelisa’s Abundance Blog and checked out her Silva Life System review on her Squidoo lens.
I was so impressed by the trial that I’ve downloaded the full version and plan to review to do a complete review in the near future. If you try out the free trial yourself, do give it more than one try. On my first go, I was not sure that it had worked but it was great the second time around.
The full version is a complete course which includes several meditations. Some of the testimonials are amazing. One guy had cancer and doctors had given him six months to live. He cured himself completely, using the Silva Life System.
What If You Don’t Like Going It Alone?
Some people don’t like trying out new things alone and others just aren’t good at motivating themselves. And you don’t have to. I’ve signed up to Davina Haisell of Crimson Compass’s guided meditation offer. She’s giving away a free guided meditation, with a 15 minute debrief.
And if you take her up on her offer, you will also be entitled to a discounted 30 minute coaching session. You can read more about the free guided meditation session here. But don’t wait too long – the offer ends on 31st January 2009.
Have you tried guided meditation before? How has it helped you?
