The Cynic Gets A Surprise: Silva Life System Review Part 3

March 13, 2009

If you called me a cynic, you might be right. I do try to keep an open mind when I hear bold and outrageous claims. But life has taught me that the world is full of bullshitters – some people even write false testimonials. So, while I’m happy to assume that anything is possible, I like to see proof before I become a devoted believer.

Silva Life System has an application called Glove Anaesthesia. It’s really simple to do and they claim that one of their clients used it to stop himself bleeding to death, after he was stabbed in the liver.

I wanted to believe that a simple procedure could save someone’s life. But hearing that story wasn’t enough. I wanted to know the victim’s name, see the newspaper reports – anything that would prove that this miracle really happened.

And on Day 5 of the Silva Life Program, my inner cynic got a huge surprise. Now I didn’t go as far as trying to stab myself, just to see if this thing works. But I used it to achieve some astonishing results. And you can read about it right here in Part 3 of my Silva Life System Review.

Silva Life System Day 5 – What Was Included

  • An Explanation of Visualization?
  • Creating Mental Images
  • Super Learning
  • Cancelling Out Negatives
  • Three Fingers Technique
  • Your Mental Screen For Problem Solving

  • Silva Life System Day 5 – My Experience

There were plenty of surprises on Day 5 of the Silva Life Program but I didn’t learn many new things in the daily lessons. I used to suck at studying and exams, until a few years ago, when I devoted a lot of time to learning how to do it effectively. So, I was familiar with some of the techniques described.

But if you’re not good at studying, visualizing, recalling things you’ve learned, remembering names etc., this part of the course will help you a whole heap. Plus, you won’t need to read dozens of different books, as I did. You’ll make much faster progress using the lessons in Day 5. And you can do all this while using the Alpha sound, which is said to make it far more effective.

I’m going to come back to this lesson and try some of the exercises, while using the Alpha sound, to see if it improves my performance. But the lessons on Day 5, were overshadowed by the exciting progress I made in other areas.

    Insomnia Progress

If you’ve read Review 1 and Review 2, you’ll know I’ve been having chronic sleep problems. And up until now, the Silva Life System hadn’t helped me a whole heap.

So at the end of Day 5, I implemented a couple of the physical changes that I learned about in Day 4. But I didn’t think I had a hope in hell of sleeping well that night. Before I began the course, I stopped taking the medication I use for pain relief and sleep. And when I went to bed on Day 5, I was in quite a bit of pain.

But I remembered the Glove Anaesthesia exercise that I’d learned on Day 4 and decided to give it a shot. I wasn’t hopeful, as I just didn’t see how something so simple could work. Well, the first time I did it, the pain was less severe. So I tried it again and I could barely feel any pain at all. Then I fell asleep almost immediately.

I was impressed – my pain and sleep problem had been solved in a few minutes. But, I decided to wait and see if I slept well the following night before publishing this review – and I did.

I Thought That Was Impressive But What Happened Next Was Miraculous

Naturally, I thought the pain relief was awesome. It wasn’t even like I believed it would work. But what happened next was amazing.

In addition to the daily exercises, I’ve been using the long meditation from Day 2, on a daily basis. At the beginning of the meditation, your body is relaxed and the narrator encourages you to visualize each organ, cell, etc as functioning normally.

Now, I have a bad scar below my left eye. So I figured there was no harm in visualizing the skin below my eye as being perfectly normal too. And I woke up on day 5 after having the best sleep in a long time, looked in the mirror and the the scar seemed different. It appeared to be healing.

But I quickly put it to the back of my mind, figuring it probably just looked better because I’d had a decent sleep. After all, it’s been there for 15 years – why would it start healing now?

When my husband Stuart got up, the first thing he asked was what had happened to the scar. He said it looked better and it seemed as though it was actually healing. So, I realized the difference in appearance must be significant for someone else to notice immediately – especially first thing in the morning.

Over the last couple of days, I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve looked in the mirror, expecting the scar to have gone back to the way it was before. But it hasn’t. It isn’t completely gone yet but the improvement is astonishing.

So, after only five days on the Silva Life System, I’m more than just a little impressed. Initially, I thought it wasn’t doing a lot for me but here’s a recap of what I’ve achieved so far:

    • I’ve quit smoking.
    • I’m beginning to get on top of my chronic sleep problem.
    • I’ve healed pain that used to require strong medication.
    • A scar I’ve had for over 15 years appears to be healing itself.

Wow, this is fascinating Cath. I’m also a cynic about stuff like this, but the scar thing really stopped me in my cynical tracks. Can’t wait to read more. Sleep well tonight!

Hi Mike – Thanks. It’s pretty amazing. My mum is even more cynical than me – but she just saw it and she thinks it’s a miracle.

Cath, that’s pretty cool. I too am a bit cynical to things like this but I do know great things can happen when you really focus your mind. It’s much more powerful than we think.

When I use to do self-hypnosis, I was able to “heat up” my hands and feet when they were cold.

Focus and meditation is awesome, but I think many of us just feel “I don’t have time right now to sit there and do nothing.” I know I get that way sometimes – that’s bad.

      Hey Cath!
Wow I was so excited reading this post! For me in healing myself, not only was I giving myself a second chance at life without pain and dis-eases (when doctors said it was impossible) but it allowed me to awaken to the reality that we are SO MUCH MORE POWERFUL than we give ourselves credit for!

You have found the means that resonated with you and are using it heal from within Cath and there is nothing more beautiful than that! Thank you for another link to heroes – Kelly wrote the post about Louise Hay who is SO inspirational in healing! And BOY do I love Kelly’s writing!

I am finishing a post and will be linking to your series on the Silva System because you are an example of what is possible when you find the modality that works for you. That is what the core message of my blog is and I can’t even express how happy I am for you!

Whoo hoo Cath! Cigarettes, scar, pain and now sleep… wow I can’t wait to hear what’s next!

Lots of love and a BIG congratulatory hug,
      Jenny

“…hearing that story wasn’t enough. I wanted to know the victim’s name, see the newspaper reports – anything that would prove that this miracle really happened.” I’m exactly the same way! I was wondering if maybe I’d get absolutely nothing from Silva because of my cynicism, but that’s not what happened to you.

Congratulations on continuing not smoking. The pain relief thing is great. Did it take more “treatments” after the first night? And most of all, the sleep improvement is awesome. The scar healing is wonderful. I would imagine a noticeable scar near your eyes would be quite a nice burden to have lifted! I have small but deep scars all over my body, so I’m delighted to hear this.

I listened to about an hour’s worth of the first CD last night. I’ll probably be doing one CD a week, since there’s a lot to absorb and I don’t have a lot of free time. And meanwhile, I’ll know what’s coming from your great reviews.

      Hi Cath,
This is really impressive. You make me want to try the Silva System. I know Mare swears by it as well. Perhaps sometime soon here

It is awesome what all you have accomplished. I hope your health is much better now after the hard time you had early this year.

Wow! Now this is something! The smoking was fabulous, the sleep thing seems promising, the pain thing, but the SCAR! I know how self-conscious you are about it, and for such an immediate effect to take place with everyone noticing! You know, you really should take photos to track the progress. They will prove beyond any doubt.

Cath, I couldn’t be happier for you! This is awesome!

      Cath-

That’s very cool! I’ve used the Silva Ultra Mind System for a couple of years now. Never ceases to amaze me when people get such exciting results! Congrats!

Using it, plus replacing our mattress, helped cure my insomnia. I haven’t bought the home study course but now maybe, I will.

Continued good luck to you as you progress through the program!

I’m not surprised that you are getting cool results. Congratulations!!

I didn’t find the Glove Anaesthesia exercise working for me all that much the first time I tried it. Then again, I was having a lot of disbelief on how a technique like that can work!! The claim appeared outrageous for a start!!

Still, the Silva had enough techniques for me that have worked. Life has never been the same since I went through the course some one and a half years ago.

My goal this year is to return to some of the previous workshops I have been to and not to buy into any more new programs. Usually repeat classes are free. My intent is to practice the techniques. You’ve just given me more inspiration and reminders to do so!! Thanks!! And once again, Congratulations!! I am happy that you are experiencing results!

Hi John – I used to feel that I didn’t have the time but now I just make sure I do.

Being able to warm your hands and feet up would come in v useful – especially where I live.

Hi Jenny – Thank you. And you’re welcome. I love Kelly’s writing and Louise Hay is on my to read list.

I feel so lucky that I’ve made all this progress so quickly. As you know, I’ve really struggled to get my head round the idea of healing pain naturally. I knew it had been possible for you and many others – I just couldn’t believe that I could do the same.

But it really does work and like you I’m hoping to encourage others to do the same and use the power within them.

Hi Dot – I hoped this would make you feel better. I didn’t have to truly believe the pain relief and scar healing would work – but they still did.

Since that night, I’ve only had to do the glove anaesthesia once. But it’s so worth, rather than taking drugs every day. Last night, I discovered that the medication I’d been taking, is banned in the USA, Canada and many countries in Europe.

    14. cathlawson on March 14th, 2009 1:08 pm

Hi Maya – Thank you. I’m feeling better than I’ve felt in years.

It was hearing about Mare’s success that made me sign up to the course. I hope you get the chance to do the Silva Life System course too – I know how busy you must be with two toddlers.

Hi Betsy -Thank you. If I can find my camera I might do that. But I have three different scars under my eye and two are almost gone completely. I really thought I was seeing things at first.

Now – the last one might be tougher to get rid of because it seems to be stuck to bone or other scar tissue or something. They tried to get rid of it by going through my mouth and cutting it but of course it just stuck itself down again.

But you never know – I feel like anything is possible now.

Hi Annie – That is brilliant that you manage to cure your insomnia too. Evelyn was saying the home study course is like a refresher course, so it may well be worth it for you.

Hi Evelyn – It’s so simple that it’s tough to believe isn’t it? I was amazed at how easily it worked.

It’s definitely worth you doing the refresher courses if they are free. I am wondering if they have the weekend courses in the UK. I’ve seen the US ones advertised.

      Hi Lillie – Thank you.

Hi Robin – It’s great isn’t it? And if you can do stuff like this without completely believing that it will work – imagine what is possible when you do believe.

    15. Andrew on March 14th, 2009 1:21 pm

      Cath,

It’s great to hear that the results todate have been atoundingly positive.

With respect to your comment about being a cynic. It doesn’t sound to me as though you fit that description, at least according to how I understand the word.

Under my understanding of the word, a cynic is something who refuses outright to give new ideas any chance at all, and would have dismissed the program which you are undertaking without even giving it a try.

A skeptic, on the other hand, would exercise a healthy degree of caution and even suspicioun with respect to claims made about results from progams like the one you are currently undertaking. However, like you, a skeptic would maintain a sensible open mind and, also like you, would be willing to give such a program a try.

A cynical approach, according to my understanding, is closed minded and unhealthy. A skeptical approach, on the other hand, involves sensible caution but open minded none the less open minded and not dismissive of new ideas.

Hi Andrew – That’s very true – I’m probably way too hard on myself sometimes and you’re right – I’m probably more of a skeptic than a cynic.

When I first realised the scar was healing, I said to myself – I really don’t deserve this – there’s way too many people out there who need far more help than me. Then it dawned on me that maybe they’re more likely to try themselves if they know what the Silva System has done for me.

Hi Valerie – Try the assignments, then if you like them, you could always have a go at the course. I’m betting that if you started it now – it could actually help you to get more organized – no joke, I really think it is that powerful.

Cath, I would also agree with Andrew that you’re mildly sceptical, but in no way a cynic. You wouldn’t read half the blogs you do if that were true. And some desire for proof is never a bad thing.

But onto the big news, this is so WOW! I can’t believe this system has had such an important result for you and so quickly too. I know the scar has been a real issue for you, and so while it’s great you’re having some help with sleeping and smoking, this is life changing for you on a whole other level. It really is a miracle, and if anyone deserves one of those it’s you.

You have definitely inspired me to look at the Silva Life System. When I can get work a break into my life/work schedule I think I might devote some time to it, though I’m not sure what i want to achieve.

How’s the no smoking going? Still with it?

Congratulations again on all your fabulous results. I think you can definitely say this product has to be some of the best money you’ve ever spent!

I’m so glad about all the things it’s doing for you. You must be so excited!

“I didn’t have to truly believe the pain relief and scar healing would work – but they still did.” Yes, that’s the part that truly gave me hope. Which is one of the best things about that program — it offers hope to those who thought there wasn’t any.

My problem with Christian Science healing (the religion I grew up with) and with New Age healing has always been that I couldn’t get myself to believe things that I wasn’t already believing. This is much better — I can wait and believe it when I see it.

    20. cathlawson on March 15th, 2009 1:42 pm

Hi Kelly – Thank you. The scar has improved so much that I’m going to start using my own pic on the Internet soon. I don’t know that it will ever disappear completely but it has improved so much already.

Yes have still been managing not to smoke. I haven’t even had a single cigarette. Have been using nicotine patches and yesterday I also got a nicotine inhaler to use first thing in the morning and after dinner.

The course has been brilliant and as you say, it’s great value for money. I’ve taken one day courses that have been six times the price and not got anywhere near as much value from them.

Hi Dot – It does make it a lot easier. Having to believe in something 100%, just for it to work, would make it a whole heap harder.

I think the fact that you are trying it shows that you are hopeful that it will work and that seems to be enough.

    21. Jannie Funster on March 15th, 2009 8:07 pm

      That does sound very enticing.

And I am not at all cynical, just deep into a very strict budget these days which prohihbits me from getting something like this.

Hi Ribbon – That is interesting. How did you do it? I’ve not done anything exactly like this before but I’ve reduce pain before by not giving it any attention.

And if I’ve burned myself on the iron or oven, I’ve avoided pain or burn marks by doing the same. But when I don’t do that and run cold water on my hand, I do get pain and burn marks.

Obviously I doubt whether this would work for larger burns though.

      Cath,
This is a wonderful review and is very intriguing to me after my last trip to the Doctor’s office today. I have only known this system for kids who wanted to do better on their studies. This is exciting to find out about all of your success and what a great tool it is for you.

I was wondering if you would email me, my last computer problem took away all my contact emails…I am in computer recovery, but I would like to ask you some personal questions about the program?

I gave up going to one of my Doctor’s today and maybe one more this coming week….they just want to give me more and more pills, which I believe will just make someone a lot of money and bring my end closer and closer….They don’t seem to understand I want to live and be healthy!
