If you have an Internet business, you could take a shortcut to success by learning the secrets of other successful Internet Businesses. So how do you get these successful webmasters to share their secrets with you?

Well, a few months ago, I found a membership website which provides the perfect solution - Secrets to their Success.

Each month, it covers two in depth interviews with successful webmasters. It also does one website makeover a month, where marketing gurus critique a site that is doing badly, and totally redesign it, to show the owner how it can become more successful.

I was a little sceptical when I first heard about Secrets to Their Success. I just didn’t think it would provide me with enough information to make membership worthwhile. Although members can also access past interviews and site critiques, I figured that once I’d read those, two interviews, and one critique wasn’t nearly enough material for me to read each month.

So, I decided to try it out for a month, and I was so wrong. The interviews are complete and in depth. The owners reveal what they have done to become so successful and also, what mistakes they have made. You get so much information that you can instantly apply to your own website. Also, the site critiques are amazing, and I’ve already used a lot of the material from those to dramatically improve some of my own websites.

In the June 2006, the two interviews feature a New Zealand restaurant review site and a Quilting website. Now, before you go thinking that you couldn’t possibly learn from these types of sites, as they are totally unrelated to your own website, think again. Remember, the interviewees are showing how the successfully marketed their business, and you could apply their ideas to virtually any type of website at all.

As with anything else, reading Secrets to Their Success is not enough. You have to put the ideas and advice into practise, if they are to benefit your own business. I highly recommend joining Secrets to Their Success, and cancelling after a month if you don’t enjoy it. But, if you’re serious about building a successful Internet business, I doubt that you’ll ever want to cancel.

You Can Profit From Wedding Affiliate Programs

June 5, 2006

Wedding affiliate programs could provide a perfect way for you to make money online. Weddings are serious business, with the average couple spending $18,000 dollars on their wedding.

If you’re planning a wedding yourself, or you’ve planned one in the past, why not profit from all that hard work by setting up a wedding website? You could soon turn it into a profitable money earner, by joining one of the many wedding affiliate programs available on the Internet.

The demand for wedding related products on the Internet is huge. I used Wordtracker, and discovered that in the last 24 hours, on Google alone, 4850 people had searched for wedding dresses; 3839 had searched for wedding cakes, and there were 3573 searches for wedding invitations.

The potential for profit from the wedding business is huge, and you don’t need to sell your own things. There are plenty of affiliate programs out there. But, to compete in this market, you need to find your own special niche in the wedding business, whether it be wedding favours, or destination weddings.

To find a niche with few competitors, for your wedding business, I recommend Wordtracker. If you’re new to the affiliate marketing business, try one of the following great resources, to get you off to a flying start:

What do you do, when you can’t do all the work yourself?

June 4, 2006

Well, I’ve just returned from a great vacation in Walt Disney World. Anyway, my Internet access wouldn’t work over there, and I couldn’t update my blog. What I should have done was get someone else to do it for me.

There comes a point in everyone’s business where you can’t do it all yourself anymore. You may be going on vacation and need someone to cover for you, or your business may have grown to the point where you can’t cope with the workload by yourself. So what can you do about it?

You could employ someone, but maybe you don’t want to commit yourself to paying a regular wage just yet, or perhaps you just want someone to do the occassional project for you.

The ideal solution is to outsource some of this work to a freelancer. www.elance.com is one of the best resources I have found for freelancing some of the tasks involved in running your Internet business. You will find people on the site with various skills from design to writing. Plus, the great thing is, you can check out their profiles, as they have a star rating and review system, similar to that on amazon.

So don’t struggle on your own - you can get help from a freelancer, and it doesn’t need to cost you the earth.
