The internet is full of fast ways to make money. If you’ve been surfing the internet for a while, you’re bound to have come across claims such as, “I made $100,000 in 30 days. Buy this ebook, and learn how you too can make money fast.”
So do they work? Well, how many people do you know, who have seriously managed to make this amount of money in 30 days, starting from scratch? Very few, I should imagine.
Whilst you aren’t going to make money fast, it is possible to make a lot of money on the internet, if you’re patient and persistent, and set yourself realistic timescales. To make money in any type of business, initially you’ll either have to spend a lot of time, a lot of money, or both.
Learn as much as you can about internet business first. One of my favourite resources, for those wanting to set up a successful internet business is the Internet Marketing Centre Course. Whilst the course doesn’t claim that it will make you a millionaire overnight, many of it’s student’s have gone on to build Internet businesses turning over more than 1 million dollars per year. They have been successful, not just because they read the course materials, but because they applied the ideas and suggestions in the course to their own internet businesses.
Once you are up and running, it is important to set yourself realistic goals. Maybe you want to earn $100,000 per year. Instead of setting yourself a goal of $100,000 in your first year, set small, achievable goals for the first few months - eg. $100 in your first month, $200 dollars in your second month, and $400 in month three. In months 11 and 12, you might want to set your goals a lot higher - eg. $15,000 a month.
You could still your $100,000 in your first year, but this monthly goal setting strategy will prevent you from giving up. The first few months in your internet business are going to be tough. If you try to make money fast, then only achieve small gains in your first few months, you will become disillusioned, and will probably give up after a couple of months.
My advice to anyone just starting out would be to check out the Internet Marketing Centre course. Whilst studying the course certainly won’t help you to make money fast, it will definitely show you how to build a successful internet business, and help you to avoid the mistakes that other new internet businesses make.
