Are You A Potential Millionaire?

September 23, 2007

Do you want to discover whether you have millionaire potential? Well, I accidentally stumbled upon these quizzes on the BBC website yesterday. They only take a few minutes to complete and they’re a lot of fun - Are You a Potential Millionaire 1? and Are You A Potential Millionaire 2?

Why not try them, and share how you get on in the comments section? Apparently I have millionaire potential, although I’m not sure how accurate the results are. At the end of test 2, they give you a list of characteristics shared by millionaires, and I did share each one.

But the funny thing is, potential millionaires share the same favourite foods - roast beef or roast lamb. Now, this surprised me, as my favourite is roast beef. But, surely not all potential millionaires are so boring that they all like the same food? And there’s bound to be vegetarians who are millionaires too.

Try it out for yourself and let me know what you think.

This is fun, however, they determined I am in the first one, but not in the second one…. :(

    First one:

    Score: 15

    You’re in the middle group - score 9 - 16
You’ve got plenty of millionaire potential, but have some way to go if you want to be seriously rich. Are you prepared to make the necessary sacrifices? Can you be sufficiently dedicated - and do you want to be? Can you learn to use money more efficiently?

    Second one:

You don’t work like a millionaire
The two clearest characteristics of self-made millionaires are that they work hard and that they enjoy work. Work-life balance may be fine for those hoping to be moderately successful. But if you are really ambitious, you’ll not only be prepared to put in the hours, you’ll be happy to do so.

Interesting quiz Cath, I like the Money can’t buy you happiness answer (well heck, than you have no clue where to do shopping).

Anyway score 23 (but maybe it was a little incentive from my side to raise the score).

    “You’re in the top group - score 17 - 25
You’ve got top-dollar millionaire potential. You’re careful with your money and have a healthy attitude to it. You’re hard-working and determined to be successful.”

The result was quite motivating :-)

I scored a 24 on the first test. The sleeping question got me. I really need to get my 8 hours!

But I can get by on less I guess. hmm…

I’ll take the second test now, but on the roast beef issue. I’m not surprised. Maybe all that extra protein helps you stay competitive and on edge.

I went from a meat lover to raw vegan 3 years ago. I’m a lot more mellow and calm now. Makes me think…

Thank you for visiting Catherine! Don’t worry I really enjoy reading your content so I alway visit daily and comment :-)

    Keep it up!

@ Carl: Hey I don’t think the test will score you higher if you sleep more. I have read that people who sleep around 6 hours a day perform way better and live longer than people who sleep 8 hours or more.

I used to read a lot of health stuff and still from many sources :-)

I scored 24, same as Carl. So that means, Sean, Carl Astrit and I are going to be millionaires, and the rest of you will be paupers!

Only joking. I’m sure there are ways that you can focus on improving the things that will improve your results - eg. work more hours, curb your spending etc.

The BBC quizzes are fun. I also found an entrepreneur one, but couldn’t re-find it after I’d done the millionaire one. If I come across it again, I’ll post the link on the blog.

Thanks Sean - that is good. I was getting worried.

    Hey Cath,
Can you please remind me when I will become millionaire ? Because I have short memory, and by the time I get one of the miliboys I might forget.

    Thanks :P

Interesting. I’m in the middle on the first one.

The second says that I don’t work hard enough to be a millionaire.

    That’s a laugh, because I don’t work at all. I’m retired - early - at age 55.

Astrit - I will definitely remind you when you become a millionaire, as I’ll probably try to tap you for a loan.

Mike - that is so funny. But, you do a lot since retiring. I noticed you have about 11 blogs and websites. I was checking out the travel one with the pics on your trip to Yellowstone, and it is excellent.
