Write An Ebook In 7 Days

Is it really possible to write an ebook in 7 days? Joe Vitale, says it is. And as Joe currently has 34 traditionally published books in print and 30 ebooks, he’s definitely worth taking notice of.

Who Would Want To Write An Ebook In 7 Days?

Anyone who has a website or blog should consider writing an ebook. In fact, Brian Clarke of Copyblogger, which was named by the Observer as one of the top 50 most powerful blogs in the world, suggests that you should forget everything you know about making money blogging and concentrate on selling your own information products instead.

Wouldn’t A Traditional Book Be Better Than An Ebook?

I’m sure a lot of folk feel like they’ve accomplished something amazing if they publish a traditional book instead of an ebook. After all, it’s validation that your book is worth reading. But will it actually make you any money? You could be one of the lucky ones who soar to the top of the financial times best seller list. Trouble is, less than 5% of the books published in the US each year sell more than 5000 copies.

So, if your traditional book only sells 5000 copies in hardback and is priced at $18 dollars a copy, with you getting 10% per copy - that will get you $9000 dollars less agencies fees. So you’ll probably wind up with $8000 if you’re lucky. And as traditional books are usually a whole heap longer than ebooks, it’s likely to take you a few months to write. You’d probably make more money flipping burgers.

An ebook costs very little to produce and market, so almost all the profit is yours. Selling the same 5000 copies at $27 a copy would bring you $135,000. It’s a huge difference for the same amount of sales isn’t it?

Plus - it would take you significantly less time to write. And as Joe Vitale explains in the 7 Day Ebook, it could take you as little as a week. That’s not a bad return on your time is it? There’s few jobs that would pay you as much as $135,000 for a week’s work.

Ok - So How Do I Know People Will Read My Ebook?

Chances are if folk are reading your blog, or website, on a regular basis, they’ll be keen to explore more of your work. But before you rush off and get a copy of the 7 Day Ebook, you need to know if it will work for you. Click here to check out what folk who’ve already written an ebook have to say.
