Walt Disney World

Being a child at heart, I love going on trips to Walt Disney World. In fact, my first website was based on my trips to Walt Disney World and my secret travel tips. Whilst that site no longer exists, I do have another Walt Disney World website, where I share my trip planning advice and money saving tips.

My favourite Walt Disney World Resorts

I do enjoy the convenience of staying in a Walt Disney World Resort hotel. And my favourite resorts are: Disney’s Polynesian Resort, Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort, Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club Resorts and Disney’s Wilderness Lodge Resort. But, if I was travelling in a large group, or staying in the area for more than a week, I’d stay in a villa with a pool, within 15 minutes drive to Walt Disney World.

Some of my favourite Walt Disney World Attractions

Dumbo The Flying Elephant - Magic Kingdom (ok - so I really am a child at heart)

Big Thunder Mountain - Magic Kingdom

Soarin’ - Epcot

Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster - MGM Studios

Killimanjaro Safari’s - Animal Kingdom

Some of my favourite Walt Disney World Restaurants

Chef Mickey’s in Disney’s Contemporary Resort - I love meeting the characters and twirling my napkin with the rest of the kids.

The California Grill - also in the Contemporary Resort. You can get great food there. Just don’t go out on the balcony if you hate heights.

Le Cellier - the Canada Pavillion, in Epcot’s World Showcase. This place gets booked up quickly. Don’t miss the cheese soup - it is fab.

Victoria and Albert’s
- Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort. If you like fine dining, this is an amazing experience.

My favourite time of year to visit Walt Disney World

Anytime is a good time to go to Walt Disney World. But I find July and August too hot and crowded. My favourite times are October (low crowds and nice weather), the first two weeks of December or January (you still get to see a lot of the Christmas stuff without the crowds, but it can sometimes get a bit chilly).
